Statewide AWANA Ministry Conference
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
If you or your leadership has become mechanical or if your AWANA ministry has lost its vision, then this meeting is a must for all your leaders. The focus of the meetings is to have everyone come away recharged, refocused, and remotivated to minister in their local church.
The conference is a great jump start! We will send you home with a better understanding of all the tools (and there are a lot of NEW tools this year) we have to help your local club reach our goal (from the AWANA Prayer Statement) . . .”That all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ”.
The theme for the 2008 AWANA Children's Ministry Conferences is “BEE: A Servant . . .” training begins with the Basic Training sessions and advances to all aspects of ministry. For more information, please check the web at www.awanaia.org
Pastors are always encouraged to attend. The pastor in charge of the AWANA program counts as three people towards the Approved Award plaque . . . and you come for free!
The Statewide AWANA Children's Ministry Conference will be at the Johnston Evangelical Free Church, Johnston, IA, October 4th, 2008. Registration will be from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. with the first general session starting at 9:00 a.m. There will be 2 general sessions and 4 workshop periods with the last one ending at 3:30 p.m. There will be donuts, coffee, and A GREAT lunch. Lunch is also a great time to meet and learn from other leaders from all over the state of Iowa.
The JOHNSTON CONFERENCE COST: Early pre-registration fee (received before Sept 20th) is $22.00 per person. Late (or at the door) registrations will be $27.00, and you may be on your own for lunch.
Cost includes packet, coffee & donuts, and a noon meal, and more!
Pastors in charge of the AWANA program are our guests (you attend free).
No refunds due to cancellations.
Please have only one person in charge of checking in your church the day of the conference.
